Founded in 2013 in Paris, KAPLAN - formerly Right Back Film - manages film & TV production revenues.
In an increasingly legal and financial complex environment, we ensure proper revenue allocation between all production rightholders.
We administer production royalties and secondary rights for around fourty European production companies.
KAPLAN administers and collects producers rights from collective management organizations (Agicoa, Angoa, CRC, Filmjus, Intergram, Procibel, Procirep, Upfar-Argoa, Videma, Screenrights...).
These secondary rights include various revenues generated by major TV broadcasts in numerous countries: private copying, cable and satellite transmission rights, IPTV, set top boxes, NPVR, public broadcast, educational uses.
We collect revenue from more than 25 countries thanks to strong relationships with collective management organization and ground-breaking data management and tracking tools.
KAPLAN offers a full production royalty management service. We administer royalties for global hits such as XIII (Storia Televison) or Call My Agent (Mon Voisin Productions, Mother Production).
We charge an upfront set up fee for each production, and a yearly subscription based on revenue.
Based on strong expertise and proprietary software, KAPLAN provides film & TV producers revenue administration services to help them focus on creation.
We are proud of our clients’ trust and manage their royalties with the utmost thoroughness. We keep a limited number of clients to deliver the best service and remain available to them.
In order to ensure the highest security for its clients revenue, KAPLAN collects amounts on a dedicated bank account under the French receivables collection regulation. KAPLAN is therefore registered before the Paris court of law and has entered into a specific insurance contract with Axa.
We maintain close and friendly relationships within the company and with all our partners: clients, collective management organizations, suppliers.
KAPLAN is an independent company and its team keeps a strong entrepreneurial mindset. We constantly seek to improve our service and offer new services to our clients.
